Short match report

Won the toss & batting first Merrion off to a flying start 48 runs (it’s our mighty Bird Avenue) in 9 overs where the 1^st wicket fell with a excellent catch in covers, then few quick wickets, little partnerships between Deepak & Geoff, Geoff & Max see us 143 on the board. Phoenix started the chase very cautiously, with some tight bowling from Merrion pace bowlers, restrict them to 36/3 at half way stage (drinks break, 20 overs). Then it’s spin time, Sirish with his magical leg spin we wrapped up Pheonix for 93 runs in 31.5 over. An easy win at the end.
